“I recall as a very young boy always running into the catering cold room and I would always admire the shafted lambs and pick up the biggest carrot I could find on my way out to enjoy. I knew from then that food would always be a part of my family, of who I am and of how I could serve the world. From the age of 16 I was helping out functions within the family business. I was general manager of a well known restaurant in Emperors Palace, where I added to my culinary and service skills. Later on I consulted with offshore companies in sales and investment and that allowed my family to live overseas, where, yip, I fell in love with their local cosine. No matter the land or the culture, food seems to always be at the heart of great moments. That is what this age of Urban Caveman is all about!”
